User Scripts

This page is dedicated to user created scripts. We encourage everybody who uses MonkeyTerm to share their best scripts with everybody else by submitting them to us. If you made a script that you like, chances are other people will like it too, so don't be afraid to submit them to us. Please include instructions of how to use them. Scripts are added with F8 for those who doesn't know.

DISCLAIMER: We cannot be held responsible for any damage caused by the use of these scripts. Use them at your own risk.

We will be waiting for your user scripts to add to this section. Especially a MTv2 version of the good old ItemLogger, Zmud import and Tellwin scripts would be nice.

Some of the following scripts were written for older 1.x versions of MonkeyTerm, they DO NOT work on 2.x:

Item logger [by Quale]

This script will log items captured from the mud to an access database. The script was written for AstroMUD but should be portable to other muds with some adjustments. Instructions are in the top of the file and it should not be hard to set op now as it will auto import triggers when then #dbsetup function is called. It now only works on pchan and there are four function available. the functions are as follows "#idd <name>" shows stats on an item, "#find <name>" will show all matches on a name (or part of a name), private-say "idd <name>" and private-say "dbfind <name>" works the same way but from another person.

Zmud import [by Jerle]

In order to use this script, you must first export your zmud file to a .txt file. In order to do this in Zmud 5.55, you go to Settings/Export then click Okay. This brings up a save window. In the drop-down box at the bottom, choose "Text File (*.txt)", and save it as you would any other file. Now when you run this script, input the path/name of that file into the text box that comes up, and your file will be imported. Any comments/suggestions can be sent to magic_at_hand@yahoo.com

TellWin [by Quale]

Script that captures tells to a second window so it wont be lost to battle spam and the like. type #CapInit to activate it the first time its run. And edit the line "goswidth=4599" to what width you like the window to be. Also you can uncomment the line with "objGos.terminal.setfont "terminal", 8, false" to change the font in the gossip window.
